UPDATE: As of around 10:30 on 11 October, Critical Path are now exclusively dealing with BTi incoming mail. Yahoo! are no longer in the loop at all.

According to an interview given to The Telegraph, BTinternet's email services are being moved to BT-Mail following hacking claims.

This will doubtless impact on deliverablility of mail to @BTinternet.com addresses, exactly how remins to be seen.

Yahoo! are still handling mail for BTi as of this morning (10th June):

# host -t mx btinternet.com
btinternet.com mail is handled by 1 mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk.
btinternet.com mail is handled by 10 mx-bt.mail.am0.yahoodns.net.

The prospects may be slim regarding deliverability if this snippet from our logs is anything to go on:

2013-06-17 08:09:28 SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: host mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk [65.20.0.49]: 422 IP REPUTATION SUSPECT
The server in question delivers no bulk mail or spam - so what has it done wrong?

Here's a press release from BT. Critical Path are the outsourced contractors & are already handling some incoming mail (hence cpccloud.co.uk in the mailserver list above). Presumably they will take over entirely at some point in the future.
